Andy helped a family member sell their home. He did a great job identifying problem areas. Once the problem areas were identified, with the permission of the homeowner, he helped find and hold the contractors accountable. Andy was very responsive through the whole process. Overall, the house was on the market for less than a week and was sold for over list price. I would highly recommend using Andy!

Andy represented us as a buyer's agent, long distance (while we were out of state ) for a move to Minnesota. Andy was absolutely fantastic, and I would highly recommend him . Andy was by far the most competent, knowledgeable, patient, and caring realtor I've ever dealt with. We had a million questions, maybe more, and he patiently answered all of them, sometimes going back to a place he showed us for a second or third time. He showed us a number of places via Skype. He gave very helpful opinions about the places and the neighborhoods. He pointed out good points and concerns about the places he showed. This was a challenging search because there were a couple of places we liked (and even put offers on) that ending up have some inspection issues, but Andy took every setback in stride and continued to help us look. I always felt he had our best interests in mind, and was committed to finding a place that worked for us. He even met us at the airport when we went to Minnesota to look at the place we put an offer on, drove us to other places to compare, brought us to look at upgrade options for the kitchen, and much more. This is only the tip of the iceberg of how helpful Andy was. If I recounted everything he has done, this would be five times as long. We just closed on the property and Andy is still helping us long distance in many ways for the remodeling and the updating required to make sure the place is ready when we move in soon. He is also very knowledgeable about remodeling as well (and he helped us find those who are doing the painting, installing new kitchen, and more). I would absolutely use Andy again and I would recommend Andy Barnes without hesitation to my friends or family! Actually, I would urge them to engage Andy, he is that good.
We couldn't be more thrilled with our new home and we have Andy to thank for it! He went above and beyond for us! What I appreciated the most was his patience, knowledge, and straightforwardness. He went through each home we viewed, showing us what was wrong with it, ways to fix certain issues, and if it was actually worth our time and effort. Being we were looking for a fixer upper, this was so incredibly helpful! We honestly couldn't have done this without him! I ensure you, he's one of the best of the best!
It is rare that I am sufficiently motivated to write a full review. However my experience with Andy Barnes was so extraordinary that I feel compelled to. Given that we are moving from to a city we are not at all familiar with, Andy’s care and concern for our well being was well noted and highly appreciated. Not only did he take us on countless Skype walkthroughs and patiently answer an inordinate amount of questions that come up on a first home purchase, he did so with a degree of concern, and genuine interest in helping to educate us and comprehend each step along the way. As if that wasn’t enough to warrant a glowing review, in addition he willingly volunteered to take us on shopping trips and home repair venues to facilitate needed renovations and repairs. In fact he put on the hat of a general contractor to help us. Rare and wonderful, I’m delighted that we were fortunate enough to have come upon a man of integrity who not only takes pride in doing his job, but in doing whatever he can to personally help someone reach the goals of their next life chapter. I have deep gratitude for having met Andy Barnes and being able to recommend him as an extraordinarily kind and compassionate realtor and one of the kindest and generous people I have met in Minneapolis.
